COMPARING THE CT4-V AND THE CT4-V BLACKWING

The Cadillac CT4-V was first introduced in 2020 to take the spot as the compact sedan for the automaker. The CT4-V is the smallest vehicle that Cadillac has to offer, making it the entry model for this brand. Every year since its introduction, Cadillac continues to improve this model. In 2022, they introduced the CT4-V Blackwing.

CT4-V Trim Levels

The trim levels may be where you see the most difference between the CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing. The CT4-V has three trim levels. They are luxury, premium luxury, and sport.

Luxury trim

Luxury trim is the base model, but that doesn’t mean it is bare bones. Even the basic model comes with a wide array of features. Some of the more notable standard features for this trim include a 235 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with an automatic eight-speed transmission and rear-wheel drive. This trim level offers many safety features, including parking sensors, cross-traffic alerts, blind spot safety, pre-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. It has a camera system with an eight-inch touchscreen. It includes interior light, LED tail lamps, and headlights. It is worth noting that this trim does not include a leather interior.

Premium Luxury trim

Premium Luxury trim is the middle trim level which includes all of the features you find above and then some. This trim has leather-appointed seating surfaces and setting for driver memory. In addition, it includes auto-dimming mirrors and LED ambient lighting inside the vehicle. This trim level offers the same standard engine that you find in the lower trim, but you can upgrade the transmission to a ten-speed automatic.

Sport trim

Sport trim is the highest and, therefore, most expensive trim level for the CT4-V. Not surprising that it comes with a sportier 2.7-liter turbo I4 engine with 310 horsepower. It also has a sportier look with a spoiler, performance grilles, tail lamps, and rockers. The exterior has darker accents to add to the much more sporty look. It has performance tires that run flat and alloy pedals. The front seats are also more sporty looking and are adjustable 18 ways.

CT4-V Blackwing Trim Levels

The CT4-V Blackwing also has three trim levels: standard, mid-level, and up-level. The various trim levels mainly allow you to change the look of the interior and give you some luxury upgrades.

Standard trim

With the standard trim level, you have only one standard color choice, which is jet black. The front seats are heated and have 18 power adjustments. The console is trimmed in carbon fiber, while the steering wheel is leather trimmed. All trims offer a 12-inch display with start-up animation unique to the Blackwing. The display has personas, tour, sport, and track, which are customizable. In track mode, drivers can record start and acceleration times while monitoring lateral and longitudinal g-forces. The Blackwing comes with a twin-turbo 3.6-liter engine with 472 horsepower. It is rear-wheel drive with a standard six-speed manual transmission. You can upgrade to a ten-speed automatic.

Mid-Level trim

The mid-level trim offers interior colors of jet black or sky cool gray. The interior of this trim level is a combination of leather and cloth with some suede appointments. The seat has 16 power adjustment options.

Up-Level trim

The highest trim level, or the up-level, includes heated and ventilated front seats with lumbar massage and 18 power adjustments. In addition to jet black and sky cool grey, you can also choose natural tan for your interior color.
